Reviews of Dallas Mechanic
All makes, published price ranges, every repair covered for 2-year/24,000-mile
Why is this page empty?
Because a star rating with no reviews behind it, or a handful of quotes with no names and no cars, would be worth nothing to you. The shop would rather show nothing than show something it cannot back up. When the public review profile is live and has real entries, this page links to it and nothing on the site claims a number that the profile does not show.
The same rule applies to counts, awards and certifications: none appear on this site unless the owner has confirmed them, and a visitor who sees a claim here can take it as one that has been checked.
How will reviews be collected?
A few days after each visit, long enough for the repair to prove itself on the road, every customer gets a short message by the channel they booked with, pointing at the shop's public review profile. Everyone is asked, including the visits that were difficult; nobody is paid, discounted or coached, and nobody at the shop writes a review on anyone's behalf.
What the message asks for is specifics: the year and model, the problem as you described it, what the estimate said, what the invoice said and whether the car has behaved since. A review like that helps the next owner of the same car far more than a number does, and it lets the shop be judged on the work rather than on charm.
What happens when a repair does not hold?
Talk to the shop first, before writing anything: email service@dallasmechanic.net, describe what the car is doing, and a return visit is arranged. A covered part that has failed is handled under the 2 years parts and 2 years labor, up to 24,000 miles, nationwide terms; a problem that falls outside the coverage gets a written explanation of why and a fresh estimate for the fix. Either way the exchange happens in the open and you are welcome to describe it in your review afterward, including what the shop did about it.
A shop with a few honest complaints that were answered properly is easier to trust than one with nothing but praise. That is the standard this page will be held to once it has something on it.
Questions
What do customers ask about reviews?
On the public review profile, which this page will link to as soon as it is live. Until then the site shows no rating, no count and no quotes, because none of those would have a source behind them.
Yes, to service@dallasmechanic.net, with the car and the repair named and a line saying whether it may be published. Emailed reviews are kept on file and quoted here only with your permission and only once the public profile exists.
Reach the shop first: email service@dallasmechanic.net and describe the symptom. A covered failure is handled under the 2-year/24,000-mile warranty on a return visit; anything outside it comes with a written explanation and an estimate. You are free to write about the whole exchange afterward.
